FroboMind
FroboMind is a conceptual architecture for field robotics software. It provides the means of using the same generic architecture and components across different field robots and hereby maximizing efficiency, reliability, modularity, extendability and code reuse. FroboMind is open source and is implemented in ROS

The current status of FroboMind is that we have ported the architecture to five platforms, namely ASuBot, Armadillo and three smaller robots. All of these use a PC platform running Ubuntu. We are currently working on porting FroboMind to other field robots as well as to other platforms like the Beagle and Gumstix Overo boards. We are also quite busy documenting everything at our FroboMind Wiki.

We introduced FroboMind to our engineering student groups at this years Field Robot Summer Course. They managed to have FroboMind up and running on their "built from scratch" robot within 4 weeks.
